I'm probably not the only one to have noticed a degradation in the
usefulness of search engines over the past two decades. These days
recoll on my own local archives often works better than Google.

I was hoping Amirouche would get his Scheme search engine back online,
but there's another option for now:

It's a new community-curated search engine for software developers. New
sites can be added through PRs on this repo:

  https://github.com/freetonik/quickref.dev

It's got a name, it's got a logo and it even appears to work; I'm
excited. Let's fill it up with Scheme stuff. :)
