Vultr.com's 10G for $1/month deal is for SSD storage. I managed to rent
40G mechanical hard drive space for the same price. That's more than
enough for the foreseeable future, and is about the same price as John
is paying for S3.

Block storage has the nice property that it's mounted like a regular
hard drive into Linux, so everything works as usual.
