I just looked at comp.lang.scheme on Panix.  There were no off-topic
posts.  And there were some not bad threads.  I also looked at
comp.lang.lisp.  There also, there were no off-topic posts.  And some
good threads.  In one thread, Alan Bawden set forth the meaning of
"call by value".  He was assisted by other competent people, and one
beginner, I believe, learned a bit about the difficult definition.

Perhaps Panix has a good spam filter.  I admit that Usenet today is
not what it was in 1982.

Heaven forwarding I will have a look at Usenet as she is spoke today.
