Planet Scheme is now implemented in Scheme. Arthur A. Gleckler 11 Apr 2026 03:13 UTC

For years, Planet Scheme (<https://planet.scheme.org/>) was powered by
the Planet Venus RSS/Atom aggregator
(<https://github.com/rubys/venus>). But Planet Venus was written in
Python, and has been unmaintained since 2011. I'm happy to announce
that Planet Scheme is now written in Scheme — specifically Gauche
Scheme. It was less work than I expected, especially with the help of
an LLM. (Don't worry, I reviewed every line, and refactored it all
mercilessly.)

I'm sure there will be bugs. Please report them here.

Thanks to Shiro Kawai for Gauche Scheme, and to the designers of SRFIs
13, 19, and 115, and SXML, and those who have worked on their
implementations.
