It'd be nice to have list.schemers.org (or lists.schemers.org) for
mailing lists. We've been making new lists under srfi.schemers.org,
which is convenient, but can get unwieldy if there are like 10
general-interest lists. Does simplelists make it difficult or expensive
to have an extra subdomain?

As John points out, we don't have control over the superdomain.  I'm trying to keep my requests to those who own that domain to a minimum.

The good thing is that "srfi" has the same number of characters as "list".  Furthermore, it's good for people to know that the lists are under the aegis of SRFI, so they can quickly figure out where to turn if they need help with them.  And I'm certain that we'd sometimes make the mistake of using "list.schemers.org" instead of "srfi.schemers.org" when the other was meant, or vice versa.
