Sorry for staying absent from the discussion for so long; our
department network got restructured along with the power lines, and
cut the power for my machine in mid-keystroke.  I couldn't even notify
anyone when it happened, and, as usual, things lasted for longer than
I anticipated.  I'll be gone once again from Thursday until Sunday,
but I should be back permanently after that.

I'll try to answer things one-by-one.  I may sometimes miss things
some way down in the discussion queue.  Sorry about that.
