At the request of the author (John Cowan), I have applied Jeremy Steward's additions to the reference implementations of SRFI 116 and SRFI 117 to package them for the CHICKEN implementation of Scheme.

At Jeremy's request, I've tagged these commits CHICKEN-1.0 so that CHICKEN users will eventually be able to retrieve them directly from the repos.
