As a matter of policy, I don't update copyright dates.  The repo shows
the true last-update date, and the copyright will not be extended by
a single day if I update the copyright date.  Nor do I care, and no one
else should care, on exactly which date in the late 21st or early 22nd
century the copyright expires (if indeed it is not extended to 999
or 999,999 years by then).

Google, by the way, shares this policy, so it's not just because I'm an
individual.
