I am still waiting for a reply to my critique on the accumulator protocol: https://srfi-email.schemers.org/srfi-158/msg/6219505

While I think that it is a wonderful addition per se, I think the protocol chosen does not fit to the spirit.

In case this needs more discussion, I would like to propose to split this SRFI into two. One that revises SRFI 121, generators, and a new one, solely concerned with accumulators. (This seems also better for the R7RS-large process because it allows more easily individual votes on replacing the generators of SRFI 121 by SRFI 158 and on including accumulators into the large language.)

John Cowan, co-author of SRFI 158, Generators and Accumulators, has asked me to announce "last call" for this SRFI.  He believes that it is ready for finalization, but would like to give reviewers one last chance to submit corrections and feedback before we finalize it.

In particular, I appeal to anyone reading this to try the sample implementation, run the tests, and send feedback about your results.

If you're interested in this SRFI, please give your feedback via the SRFI 158 mailing list before 2017/10/17.  After that, assuming that no major revisions are required, we will declare it final.

Regards,

SRFI Editor
