I've just published draft #8 of SRFI 196. It was submitted by Wolfgang Corcoran-Mathe, author of the SRFI.

Here are Wolfgang's comments on the draft:

These commits adjust the semantics of the vector->range form (now a conversion), and add a few additional constructors and conversions. Due to the late date and the new forms, this should probably be another draft.

Here is the commit summary:

• Rename vector->range to vector-range.
• Add vector->range as a (copying) conversion.
• Add the string-range constructor.
• Add string to notations subsection.
• Add range->string.
• Add MN-W to the acknowledgements.
