I would consider taking it over. I'm very interested in this topic, and have already written an independent implementation of the WCS pattern-matcher in Schemepunk. Not sure if it makes more sense to continue under the same SRFI number or start a new one.

I'll try writing a clearer specification for it this week, and see how it comes together.

I hope Felix is okay.

I still have to finish my own SRFI 211 before I can take over any other SRFI. The main work remaining with SRFI 204 is, in my opinion, to formulate a definite specification from which an implementation can be created without taking a look at the sample implementation. The current section called "Specification" is partly imprecise and mixes examples, explaining rationales, actual specification, and description of the same implementation.

Arthur, in case SRFI 204 has to be withdrawn, would it be possible to start a new SRFI one day exactly at the point where SRFI 204 is now? In that case, I don't see that much harm would be done by withdrawing SRFI 204 because the document and the repo wouldn't be lost and because work could continue on it any day (under a new SRFI number).

Is there anyone out there who would be willing to take over SRFI 204?  There have been no messages from Felix Thibault, the author, in 85 days, despite my repeated messages.  Today, SRFI 204 reaches 300 days, which is far past the deadline for SRFIs.  If I don't hear from Felix soon, and no one else volunteers to take over, I will have to withdraw it, which would be a shame because it's good work and would be widely useful.

Thanks.
