Thanks. If it is code that is once written and won't be touched
anymore, my point doesn't apply, of course. But when we try to write
code such that the implementation of data types is abstracted away,
the current non-linear pattern variable feature stands in the way (at
least it suggests writing code tied to a particular representation of
the data).
