I do not believe that any part of this SRFI can be implemented portably, because there is simply no guarantee that a NaN round-tripped through a bytevector will always produce bitwise the same results.  It is possible to portably distinguish between a signaling and a quiet NaN, but I doubt it matters.

So unless Wolfgang disagrees, I'd like to withdraw it.
