Yes, I think this would be a good improvement. Please also note the request for a non-procedure-based API made by Marc Feeley in the mailing list for this SRFI.

Could you also consider adding your transport guardians/transport cells proposal to this SRFI, or perhaps making it a new SRFI?

Ideally all of these – ephemerons, guardians, and transport guardians – need to be considered for inclusion in the Valued Fascicle, which was originally scheduled for December this year but will probably end up being next year following the illness-induced schedule slip this year.
