It is a good design objective in programming language design to not “reinvent the wheel”, especially when there is no actual benefit in the new construct or syntax.
The same is true in standardization. However, support for any of the keyword syntaxes is quite limited: there is no obviously dominant one across all Schemes, and the most common version is "no support at all".
