Would it make any sense to create a Schemecomm(unications) mailing
list at the same level as Scheme{doc, web, persist}? Would it have
enough to discuss??
I'll leave that up to you all to decide. I can create such a list if there's demand.
Or how about a catch all pre-SRFI list, since srfi-discuss is
officially a "mailing list for general discussion of the SRFI
process", but is the least worst place for pre-SRFI discussions?
Would other people like this one, too? If so, what would it be called?
One general feature of what I'm now calling the Scheme Topics mailing lists, i.e. Schemedoc, Schemepersist, and Schemeweb, so far, is that messages to them are not delivered to the Srfi-auto-subscribe list, which gets everything on Srfi-announce + Srfi-discuss + Srfi-<n>. That way, higher-volume discussions can happen without overwhelming those who want to keep up on just the active SRFI process. So if there is a topic of discussion that is not SRFI-specific but is likely to be high-volume, I'd be happy to create a list for it.
