Hello John, Arthur, & everyone else,

I’ve opened a pull request fixing some of the problems we’ve discussed
on the SRFI 152 list:

It brings the implementations of the string unfolds and of ‘string-map’
into line with the SRFI’s specs.  (There may be other implementation
bugs lurking, but I believe these are the only procedures which were
extended to allow mixed strings and characters in return values,
etc., without corresponding changes to their implementations.)
Although continuation safety isn’t required, I’ve written versions
that do not mutate their results.

Of course, John may decide he wants to remove the extensions to
these procedures via PFN, instead of changing the implementation.
