Gambit Scheme and all connected software is open source (and it has been that way for a few decades!).

Biwascheme and lips are fine projects but I don’t favour using them for the “Try Scheme” link as this might give the wrong impression to newcomers because these systems don’t implement Scheme to a sufficient level of conformance to really show off the special features of Scheme (such as tail calls, first class continuations, full numeric tower, delayed evaluation, and newer features of R7RS).  It is essential that these features be fully supported to give a good experience.

I’ll build the latest Gambit with emscripten to refresh the “in browser” Gambit to support the more recent R7RS additions (including define-library).

The Try Scheme link should  probably go beyond providing an in-browser Scheme interpreter and also provide a tutorial to go along with it. Perhaps something similar to the webapp tutorial might be appropriate (https://udem-dlteam.github.io/webapp-tutorial).  Any thoughts on this?
