Like Vasilij, I would find a single Go executable to be nicer to manage than Docker, assuming it works, but your point stands about rewriting working code in another language. I would also consider setting up GitLab at some point, since many schemers seem to be familiar with it and already using GitLab.com. https://salsa.debian.org/scheme-team and https://cm-gitlab.stanford.edu/bil/s7 are also GitLab. The server-side software seems pretty bloated (Ruby, SQL database, 4GiB RAM), but there are not that many well established alternatives. In the interest of keeping scheme.org neutral, we should name these sourcehut.scheme.org and gitlab.scheme.org, allowing the alternatives to coexist if desired. To me, it seems reasonable to support any platforms that: - someone is willing to maintain - someone provides a server for - aren't an unusual security or reputation risk for scheme.org
