Re: Locale-specific timezone names John Cowan 27 Oct 2026 21:37 UTC

There are in fact names for all the integral-hour time zones. UTC s
of course "UTC". THe time zones from UTC-1 to UTC-12 are named
"Etc/GMT+1" to "Etc/GMT+12", and the time zones from UTC+1 to UTC+14
are named "Etc/GMT-1" to "Etc/GMT-14". The reversal of signs reflects
Posix conventions.
